SYNTHETIC HAIR WIG CARE
We recommend the Jon Renau brand products for our Alternative hair. There are other brands specifically made and recommended for Alternative hair as well. Taking care of your hair properly guarantees the longevity of the hair system. Please follow your manufacturer's directions when caring for your Alternative hair.

Cleanse & Condition:
Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau paddle brush or Jon Renau wide tooth comb.
Hold wig or hairpiece under cool running water. Gently lather the hair with a capful of Shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.
Rinse thoroughly with cool water until water runs clear.
Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry.
Gently detangle hair using your Jon Renau wide tooth comb.
Spray with Leave-In Conditioning Spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece .
Dry & Style:
Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry.
Styling is very easy with your Jon Renau wig or hairpiece. We recommend simply using your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style.
If fullness is desired, gently backcomb hair using your wig or hairpiece brush/comb, then smooth the surface hair over and apply Holding Spray.
Do NOT use heat to style synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers).
Tips...
Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the fiber.
We recommend using HD Smooth Detangling Spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with the mid-length to long length wig or hairpiece.
HUMAN HAIR WIG CARE
Cleanse & Condition:
Before washing your HD wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau wide tooth comb ONLY
Hold wig or hairpiece under cool running water.
Gently lather the hair with a capful of Shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.
Rinse thoroughly with cool water until water runs clear.
Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
Gently detangle hair using your Jon Renau wide tooth comb.
Spray with Leave-In Conditioning Spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece.
Dry & Style:
Air drying your wig will give the best results. You can gently blow dry (low-medium heat) using ONLY your Jon Renau wide tooth comb.
Apply HD Smooth Detangling Spray, (3-5 pumps) focusing on the bottom half of wig or hairpiece. Gently comb through again with your Jon Renau wide tooth comb.
We recommend that ONLY the Jon Renau wide tooth comb is used on your HD wig or hairpiece. Other tools will cause frizzing/tangling.
HD Fiber can withstand heat tools up to 350° F, however, Jon Renau recommends working at 270°-280° F.
It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat.
Curl:
Heat your curling iron to 270°-280°F.
Using your Jon Renau wide tooth comb, gently comb hair free of tangles.
Starting at the nape, take ½ inch-1.5 inch sections of hair (Smaller sections=tighter curls, larger sections=looser curls).
Spray Heat Treat Thermal Spray on the section to protect the fiber (1-2 pumps per section).
Gather hair into curling iron, smooth through to the ends. Roll iron up towards base of wig or hairpiece, staying 1-2 inches away.
Hold for 10-15 seconds, then turn the tip of iron toward the ground and release curl into palm of hand.
Holding curl in one hand, gather up towards base and secure curl with a small metal clip (like a pin curl).
Allow curl to cool completely (about 5 minutes); remove clip and let curl hang naturally.
Hair can be combed with your Jon Renau wide tooth comb(or fingers for best results) to blend curls.
Flat Iron:
Heat your flat iron to 270°-280°F.
Starting at the nape, take ½ inch-1.5 inch sections.
Spray Heat Treat Thermal Spray on the section to protect the fiber (1-2 pumps per section).
Staying at least 1-2 inches away from base, slowly smooth flat iron down through ends.
Keep hair smooth by following behind the flat iron with your Jon Renau wide tooth comb.
Allow hair to hang naturally and cool completely.
Tips...
We recommend using HD Smooth Detangling Spray with a Jon Renau wide tooth comb DAILY to detangle your HD wig. This is especially important with the mid-length to long length HD wigs or hairpieces.
We offer HD Smooth in a convenient 2oz. size for travel.
Allow your HD wig to air dry naturally instead of blow drying to help maintain the integrity of the fiber.
Help protect the fiber against heat damage by using Heat Treat Thermal Spray when using heat styling tools.
HEAT DEFIANT WIG CARE
Cleanse and Condition:
Before washing your human hair wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau paddle brush or Jon Renau wide tooth comb.
Hold wig or hairpiece under cool running water. Gently lather the hair with a capful of Argan Smooth Luxury Shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.
Rinse thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear.
Apply Argan Smooth Luxury Conditioner, avoiding the base cap of the wig or hairpiece (applying conditioner to the base of the cap may weaken the knots).
With your fingers, work conditioner through the ends of the hair for about 3-5 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly in cold water until the water runs clear.
Dry & Style:
Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat to remove excess water.
DO NOT use a brush to detangle your human hair wig or hairpiece while it is wet, gently use your Jon Renau wide tooth comb.
Smooth & Sleek:
Blend 2-3 pumps of Argan Treatment Mist with Jon Renau Blown Away. Using a round boar-bristle/nylon brush, work through hair in 2” sections starting at nape. Blow dry in downward motion to smooth and direct hair.
Volume:
Apply 2-3 pumps of Weightless Volumzing Foam throughout hair. Using a round boar-bristle/nylon brush, work through hair in 2” vertical sections starting at nape. Over-direct hair for optimal volume.
Volume & Texture:
Liberally spray BoHo Beach Spray throughout damp hair. Apply 2-3 pumps of Jon Renau weightless Volumizing Foam, allow hair to dry naturally or diffuse for added fullness.

Spray Heat Treat Thermal Spray on to each section as you heat style to protect hair. Work in small sections (1-2 inch) starting at the nape.
Versatile 3-Way Hair Spray works great to help hold your finished style. Adjust the nozzle to “L” for low, “M” for medium hold, or “H” for high hold, depending on your needs.
When curling your human hair, you can use small metal clips to hold each curl while cooling for a tighter, longer-lasting curl. For a looser, more natural looking curl, allow curls to hang while cooling.
